Welcome to Surf Local Experience, a surf school in the heart of Cascais where sandy feet and salty hair are part of our daily routine.
Our lessons take place at Praia de Carcavelos or Praia do Guincho depending on where the best conditions are that day. We check the surf so you don’t have to.
Whether it’s your first time standing on a board or you’re already comfortable riding waves, our lessons are built for all levels and all ages. Our goal is simple: help you have fun, learn something new, and leave the beach loving surfing as much as we do.
We offer a variety of surf packages, from single-day lessons to private group sessions, so you can choose the experience that best fits your plan.
Surf Local Experience Surf School is certified by the Portuguese Surfing Federation (nº 336), Tourism of Portugal (Alvará nº 131/2014), and the Captaincy of the Cascais Port.
GROUP LESSONS
Surfing is always better together.
Our group lessons are organized by skill level with a 5:1 surfer-to-instructor ratio, giving everyone plenty of attention in the water.

Looking for more personalized coaching? Our private lessons are one-on-one with an instructor, allowing us to tailor each session to your level and goals. Perfect for beginners or surfers wanting to improve faster.

SURF PACKS
For surfers who want to keep improving. Our surf packages include 3, 5, or 10 lessons, available for both group and private sessions. It’s the best way to improve your skills over multiple days.

Already know how to surf? Grab a board and head straight to the waves. We offer all the gear you need, available every day we’re at the beach.
